LOYOLA UNIVERSITY THOMAS HALL

MMI provided structural and civil engineering services for the renovation and addition to this historic five-story building on St. Charles Avenue. Built in 1912 to house Loyola University’s Jesuit fathers, the facility has been unoccupied since before Hurricane Katrina. Thomas Hall will house the administration and student finance offices previously located in Marquette Hall. In merging the new building design with the existing building, a new foundation type and location were selected. This project is part of Phase I of the University’s Master Plan to improve facilities.
