MMI provided the design for the structural foundations, as well as the civil engineering needed for the project, including the redevelopment of approximately 55 acres of land within the City of New Orleans. The first phase of construction provided 410 rental units, a management office, business center, and child-care center. The second phase added 250 residences along with commercial space. The design of a new roadway system, parking areas, and sidewalks within the site were also provided.
MMI’s civil engineering services included the complete redesign of the sanitary sewer collection system, water distribution and drainage collection systems, as well as the reconditioning (fiberglass lining) of existing sanitary sewer infrastructure to remain, all of which are interconnected with existing city infrastructure in the adjoining streets. MMI also designed all-new sanitary sewer house connections and water meter connections.
