MMI has worked extensively since the early 2000’s on many aspects of the WWII Museum Campus.  Our work has included the foundation and first floor design of several new buildings, modifications to existing buildings to accommodate new loads, renovations of existing buildings, and sitework including the Storm Water Management Plan.

MMI was responsible for the foundation and first floor framing design of the Solomon Victory Theatre, the Stage Door Canteen, the American Sector Restaurant, the US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, the Campaigns of Courage Pavilion, and the Parking Garage.  This construction represents approximately $370 million dollars of construction costs.  In addition, the design of the foundation for the Bollinger Canopy of Peace (currently under construction) has been completed, and the design for the upcoming Liberation Pavilion is underway.

MMI has worked several smaller structural projects in the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion, including new elevated floor framing for new exhibits and modifications to the roof structure to support a hanging Douglas C-47 Skytrain.

Renovation projects on the campus that we have worked on include the Jeri Nims Soda Shop, the firehouse, the administrative office building, and the Kushner Restoration Pavilion, which is a glass fronted building where visitors can observe the ongoing renovation of the Higgins PT-305 boat.
