Morphy, Makofsky, Inc. provided Structural engineering for the foundation and the first floor of the facility and all site civil engineering. The facility is supported with 12-inch-diameter pipe piles driven approximately 82 feet below grade and loaded to 50 tons. Phase IV includes a theater, USO bar and café, kitchen and central plant. Once completed, the museum will cover 6 acres. Eight new structures will have been added to the original facility, contributing an additional 245,000 square feet to triple the museum’s original size.
