Morphy, Makofsky, Inc. provided Structural and Civil engineering design for the new structure, which replaces Whitney’s old branch at 2650 N. Broad Street. The Broad Street location closed permanently after it sustained major damage in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The structure is a structural steel frame. The first floor is cast-in-place concrete. The foundations consist of 57-foot-long treated timber piles rated at 15 tons.
