Gentilly High School :: New Orleans, Louisiana

Morphy, Makofsky, Inc. provided services for the new construction of a three-story, 150,000-square-foot school on approximately 4 acres. The structure is a combination of structural steel and concrete framing. The entire structure is pile-supported with 30-foot-long composite piles. The design load is 20 tons. The school is being built as a high-tech academy for 750 students in grades 9-12. The project includes academic classrooms, special education areas, a media center, full cafeteria and kitchen, gymnasium, drama classroom and science labs.
