Morphy, Makofsky, Inc. provided Structural and Civil engineering
for the design of the 228-unit Crescent Club apartment complex. The
five-story building consists of four stories of apartments over an
above-grade parking garage. There are 11 basic unit types. The complex
has a garage rooftop courtyard with pool. The first and second levels
are cast-in-place concrete. The first floor is conventionally reinforced,
and the second floor is post-tensioned. The balance of the framing
is wood construction. The entire complex is pile-supported with 25-ton
composite concrete/wood pilings that are 85 feet in length.
